Zazoo Design was created by Katherine – an experienced caterer with a keen eye for design, she was always on the hunt for the perfect tray for both wowing at events and mainstays at her home. Our ethos is simple: stunningly unique trays that are decorative, sturdy and sustainable, without breaking the bank.

The array of almost 60 different styles, shapes and various sizes guarantees a tray for every taste. Each colour combination has been very carefully considered, as are the materials selected, ensuring that our trays are made in the most beautiful, sustainable and fair way.

Our beautiful trays are ethically and sustainably made by our fantastic artisans in India and Vietnam, who regularly visit, work closely with and who we adore. Each tray is truly handmade with love.

A little about the materials: the trays are made from recycled MDF and Mango wood. MDF in itself is very sustainable and environmentally friendly – it’s made from wood shavings and wood that would otherwise be discarded. Mango is a hard wood and is highly sustainable – it’s relatively quick to grow to maturity, after about 15 years. At around 15 years old it stops growing fruit, so this is when it is used for furniture. It’s very hard-wearing and comparable to oak for its durability. We then glaze the trays to create a gorgeous shine and to ensure they’re waterproof.

Zazoo Design proudly supports Action Syria, a small and innovative charity that funds health and education programmes in Syria and neighbouring countries. Working directly with local organisations, who know the needs and context of their local communities better than anyone, their work is simple, impactful and transparent. Through Zazoo Design, we’re incredibly passionate about supporting a large number of important causes, organisations and charities each year that are doing amazing things across the UK and the rest of the world.

We’re based in Gloucestershire, deep in the countryside – lots of natural beauty in the area inspires Katherine’s designs. Zazoo doesn’t have a fixed shop, but we often hold pop-ups, with stalls at farmer’s markets, crafts and artisan fairs, as well as large events like Goodwood.
